TERMS & CONDITIONS — By using or visiting the Site, you expressly agree to these Terms & Conditions.

These Terms set out the relationship between you (the “Student” or “User”) and Valery Filippov (“Coach” or “Service Provider”).
Services Provided
Grandmaster Valery Filippov is an online chess coach from Russia.
About This Site: This website is dedicated to chess as a whole.
Lessons are usually one-on-one, conducted over Zoom, Lichess, or other online means.
Other services could include teaching resources, homework, and game reviews.
It’s all a learning experience.
There is no guaranteed rating or tournament result increase.
Booking and Payment
Appointments are made individually via email or the contact form.
Payment in full must be made before the lesson or package begins.
Appropriate methods of payment will be provided via email upon receipt of payment.
Rates & Packages list lesson fees and packages.
The coach has the right to cancel or reschedule the session if payment is not made on time.
Cancellation and Refund Policy
An effortless cancel/reschedule option is available with at least 24 hours’ notice to avoid being charged for a lesson.
For cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance, the full lesson price may apply.
Prepayment packages can be refundable on a case-by-case basis.
In the event a lesson can’t take place for any reason by the coach, a full refund or reschedule will be given.
Code of Conduct
All classes are professional and respectful in staff conduct.
Students are expected to:
- Be punctual and ready to enter the session.
- Work at acceptable voice levels and maintain proper behavior during lessons.
- Use the coaching materials only for their own educational purposes.
The instructor may discontinue or modify any equipment being used improperly at any time.
Intellectual Property
All lesson materials, including teaching texts, PGN files, exercises, and training plans, remain the property of the coach.
These materials are for your personal use only and may not be reproduced, shared, republished, or sold in any form.
The content of the website (text, images, logos, and design) is also protected under copyright law.
Limitation of Liability
In making every attempt to provide quality teaching, the coach is not responsible for any direct or indirect results of the coaching process or the website.
You also agree that attending any lessons is optional and at your own discretion.
Privacy and Data Protection
Your privacy is important.
This website uses personal details (contact forms, emails) and cookies to facilitate your experience.
